This class is an introduction to Riemannian geometry.
In particular, we will study geodesics, the Riemann curvature tensor, Jacobi fields, Hopf-Rinow and Hadamard theorems, and spaces of constant curvature.
Prerequisites
Math 6457 or Math 4441.

Homework
Homework will be assigned every week but not collected.
Grading
The grade is based on class participation (25%), a midterm (25%), and a final (50%). The midterm will be on Thursday October 15, and the final will be on Tuesday, December 15, 2:40 PM - 5:30 PM.
