Course Description
This class is continuation of Calculus I. The main topics, in the order that they are covered are: The main goals of the class are: (i) building proficiency in working with elementary functions, including their derivatives and integrals, and (ii) developing a deeper appreciation for the concepts of limit and convergence.

Prerequisites
A grade of C or better in Math 141--familiarity with limits, derivatives, integrals, the fundamental theorem of calculus, and basic trigonometry.

Textbook
Calculus, by Varberg, Purcell, and Rigdon, eighth edition.

Homework and Quizzes
There will be homework assignments due every Wednesday. Late homeworks will not be accepted. Also there will be quizzes every Wednesday. No calculators, textbooks, or notes will be allowed.

Tests and Exams
There will be 2 midterms on Tuesdays Sep 24 and Nov 12. The Final Exam is on Monday, Dec 9, 2-5 pm.

Grading
Your final grade is comprised of your scores on the homeworks (10%) the quizzes (10%), midterms (20% each) and the final exam (40%).

Attendance Policy
Consistent with the USC Undergraduate Bulletin, a grade penalty may be applied to any student missing more than three classes during the semester.

Study Hint
Work on your homework assignments everyday, and for a total of at least 9 hours each week.
