Additional TA information
Scot Kennedy and Mindy Moon will each conduct two sections, where their students turn in and work on their homeworks. The schedule for these sections are as follows: Section 11S: M W 12-2pm Applied Sciences 268. Section 12S: M W 6-8pm Applied Sciences 268. Section 13S: T TH 4-6pm Applied Sciences 268. Section 14S: T TH 12-2pm Applied Sciences 295. M-W sections are Scott's and T-TH sections are Mindy's.


Course description
Continuation of Calculus 11A. We will study integration, infinite series, and differential equations. The goal is to understand these concepts, learn about their applications, and develop computational skills.

Course prerequisites
Calculus 11A, or, more explicitly, a good understanding of derivatives, and some familiarity with integrals.

Required textbooks
Calculus, by Hughes-Hallet and Gleason et al., Second Edition.

Homework
There will be weekly homework assignments to be turned in to the teaching assistants. Students in M-W sections will turn in their homework on Wednesdays, and students in T-Th sections will turn in their homework on Thursdays.

Tests and exams
There will be two midterms: the first on Monday, Oct 26, and the second on Friday, Nov 20. The final exam will be on Tuesday, Dec 15, 8-11am.

Grading
The final grade is based on homeworks, about 20%, midterms, about 20% each, and the final exam, about 40%. Other factors such as class participation may also affect the final grade.
